Udupi: Family from Goa loses bag with valuables

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (VM)

Udupi, Feb 26: A poor family from Goa on Sunday February 24 lost their valuables while on their way back after visiting a relative’s house in Koppalangadi in Kaup.

It is said that the bag with valuables was lost on the national highway between Kaup and Udupi.

As per the information obtained, Shabnamji along with her family had been to a relative's place in Kaup. On February 24, when they were leaving back to Goa, they hired a rickshaw to Udupi railway station at around 4.30 am. But on reaching the railway station, they realized that the bag was missing.

The bag had clothes along with some cash and 10 gram gold ornaments. The family did not know when the bag fell down from the auto. To search for it, they again went back the same way but in vain.

Considering their situation, Vishu Shetty from Ambalpady helped them. He even paid money to the family to buy ticket. The poor family accepted the money, bought the ticket and returned the balance to him.

Any person who finds the bag is requested to contact Rafiq (09860467879) or Vishu Shetty (9480016111).
