Udupi: BJP confident of victory in city and state

Udupi, Mar 1: A public meeting was organized by the BJP as a part of the upcoming urban local body elections, at Chitaranjan circle on Thursday February 28.

"BJP in the state as well as Udupi city will achieve victory on the basis of the developmental works done. BJP is contesting in the right strategy,” said minister in-charge, Kota Srinivas Poojary.

The current financial budget has allocated Rs 9,564 cr for development of as many as 211 cities in the state. There is no doubt that BJP will win with maximum number of seats. Congress has unethical ways to win the election. Congress is trying to gain votes through fraudulent means, he added.

Speaking on the occasion MLA Raghupathy Bhat said that the polls for ULBs will be blessing for BJP. Out of 35 wards in Udupi, BJP is confident of winning all the seats. BJP is capable of facing all the challenges, he said.

The BJP governance in Udupi CMC has given non-corrupt and transparent administration during its term. The Congress rule in Udupi CMC consisted of scams and BJP had to struggle hard to fight against the corrupt deeds of Congress, he added.
