Mangalore: Western Institute observes Safety Week

Mangalore, Mar 4: As a part of the safety week Western Institute of Technology is organising various safety related programmes.

The safety week was inaugurated by Florine Mendes, principal,  Western Institute of Technology by flashing the safety flag.

A bike rally was organised on March 4 by the students highlighting safety as priority among the people of the city. A bike rally will also be conducted on March 5 by the Western Institute of Technology, Udupi.

Seminars on safety awareness will be conducted across Mangalore and Udupi by the students throughtout the week.

Safety is not only limited to fire safety but it also goes onto occupational safety, road safety, chemical safety, industrial and environmental safety.

All the awareness programmes are being conducted for the benefit of students and the general public in order to adopt safety measures in daily life.
