One gang-rape, four rapes in Delhi

New Delhi, March 7 (IANS): In five separate cases, a woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving car while four minors were raped here, police said Wednesday.

In the first incident, a 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by four people in a moving car in east Delhi's Welcome area Monday night.

The incident came to light after the woman was found by a Police Control Room (PCR) van lying in an unconscious condition near a dustbin in east Delhi's New Jafrabad area Tuesday morning. The woman was taken to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital where her condition is stated to be out of danger.

The woman told the police that she was in search of job after she separated from her husband. A few days ago, she had asked one of the accused, Yashdev, to search a job for her.

"Yashdev called the woman to meet him in Jafrabad park Monday evening on pretext of offering her a job. When the woman arrived at the appointed place, three more people were already present in a car," the police officer said.

"The accused offered her a cold drink laced with some sedatives and raped her in the moving car. She had no idea where the accused had taken her because she became unconscious after having the cold drink," the officer said.

"A case regarding the incident has been registered and Yashdev has been arrested. A hunt is on to nab the other three accused," said a police officer.

The woman resides in east Delhi's Bhajanpura area in a rented accommodation.

The second incident was reported from Anand Vihar area where an-eight-year-old girl was found in a pool of blood Wednesday morning. The girl was taken to a hospital. Rape was confirmed after a medical examination.

In the third incident, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped at knife-point by a 16-year-old minor here in the city Tuesday in east Delhi's Gokulpuri area. A case regarding the incident has been registered.

In the fourth incident, a 12-year-old Class 9 girl was allegedly raped by her 14-year-old relative Feb 27 in west Delhi's Ranhola area.

A case regarding the incident was reported March 5 after the girl narrated the incident to her family members five days later. The accused has been detained and sent to juvenile justice home, said the officer.

The fifth incident was reported last week from east Delhi's New Ashok Nagar area from where a 14-year-old minor was detained and sent to juvenile justice home for allegedly raping his two cousin sisters aged between 8 and 12 in October 2012.

as long as u r within ur limits, no harm could ever happen 2 u.
for this the way the girl dresses up is very important. i spoke to one girl who is 27 she too has been of the same openion. - she travels a lot on work basis. if the girl is scantily dressed, then it can cause a provocation. , mr SURABHI t is very easy to suggest that their parts, but rememebr One great prophet said THOSE OF U WHO DID NOT COMMIT ANY SIN, LET THEM THROW THE FIRST STONE. we r all sinners, one way or the other, and if i am right all adults will have to end up without any limbs - if these punishments are veted out. why to cut the limbs of the females, u cannot CLAP in one hand. no no pls help these to earn a living. may be very few will take this sort of life due to necessity.
