Ghaziabad, March 7 (IANS): A 19-year-old girl, student of class 12, was brutally gang-raped by three men Thursday, police said. Two of the attackers have been arrested.
Policemen said the girl, a resident of Trilokpuri in east Delhi, had taken the tempo from near Shipra Mall on National Highway 24 to go to Trilokpuri. Three men in the tempo assaulted her, and police said she fought bitterly to stave them off.
The iron rod on the window of the tempo was broken, as the girl attempted to escape the assault.
The men dragged the girl out of the vehicle into deserted fields and raped her, taking turns. While being dragged to the field, the girl sustained injuries.
Police said the case would soon be cracked. Two of the three men have been arrested.
