Udupi: Vidhya Poshak donates solar light to poor student

Udupi, Mar 9:
Vidhya Poshak Yakshagana Kalaranga on Thursday March 7 provided solar lights to Prema, a migrant student from North Karnataka, residing in Beedina Gudde slum here.
 
Sri Vishweshatirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math inaugurated the solar light project in the house by switching on the light.

Speaking on the occasion, Swamiji assured his support and said it is the duty of every citizens of Udupi to help the migrant students by providing them with basic facilities.
 
Earlier 33 families were provided solar lighting system by Yakshagana Kalaranga.
 
Entrepreneurs like Bhuvanendra Kidiyoor and Purushotham Patel, Tallur Shivaram Shetty, president, vice-presidents S V Bhat, K Ganesh Rao, M Gangadar Rao, B Narayan, treasurer, V G Shetty, Ganaraj Bhat, Guruprasad Shetty, officer from SELCO company among others were present.
 
On the occasion, Murali Kadekar, secretary of Yakshagana Kalaranga said that the association in future days will bring special programmes for the students who live in slum areas.
