Kasargod, Mar 9: Kochi Police on Friday March 8 arrested four persons who obtained money after blackmailing a youth to post obscene pictures on Facebook.
The arrested have been identified as Azar (20) from Mulleri, Rasheed (20) from Uppala, Hussain (23) from Chowkigudde and Siyaad (20). It is learnt that all the four arrested hail from Kasargod district.
On February 23, they met the victim near Subhash Circle and forced him to come with them to a lodge where they attacked and clicked obscene pictures of him. They also took Rs 1,500 from his purse and left him with a warning that they would post the pictures on Facebook.
In this regard, the youth had registered a case in Kochi north police station who later arrested the four youths from Kasargod.
