Rain, hailstorms expected in Delhi


New Delhi, Mar 14 (IANS): It was a cloudy, pleasant Thursday in the national capital with the minimum temperature settling at 18.1 degree Celsius, three notches above average for this time of year.

The met office has forecast rain and possibly hailstorms towards the evening.

"The skies will be clear in the morning and it will turn partly cloudy towards afternoon, with possibility of rain and hailstorms later in the day," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 29 degrees Celsius, the IMD official added.

Humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 72 percent.

Wednesday's maximum temperature settled four notches above the season's average at 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled at 14.9 degrees Celsius, average for this time of year.
