Beijing, Mar 18 (IANS): Xiao Gang, chairman of Bank of China, has resigned, said a statement on the lender's website.
"Due to the necessity of the country's financial work", Xiao had handed in his resignation which turned effective Sunday, reported Xinhua citing the statement.
