Puttur, Mar 20: Celine Mascarenhas (64), a retired teacher, who suffered grievous injuries in a road accident here, lost her life in a hospital in Mangalore on the night of Monday March 18.
Celine was crossing the road at Bolwar in the town, after buying vegetables and fruits, when an auto rickshaw hit her. She was provided immediate treatment at Puttur hospital, before being referred to a hospital in Mangalore. Without responding to treatments, she breathed her last at night there.
She is survived by husband, a son, and a daughter. A case in this respect was registered in the traffic police station here in this connection.
