Japan registers trade deficit


Tokyo, Mar 21 (IANS): Japan's goods trade deficit registered 777.5 billion yen in February, according to government data released Thursday.

Exports dropped 2.9 percent from a year earlier, while imports grew 11.9 percent, the finance ministry said in a preliminary report.

The figures were measured on a customs-cleared basis, reported Xinhua.
