Dubai, March 24 (IANS/WAM): The UAE has lifted a ban on importing beef from Italy.
The UAE's Minister of Environment and Water Rashid Ahmed bin Fahd issued a resolution lifting the ban that was imposed after mad cow disease spread across Europe.
According to the resolution, every shipment of beef from Italy must have a valid and accredited veterinary certificate, a certificate of origin and a halal slaughtering certificate by an Islamic centre accredited by the UAE's ministry of environment and water.
