Ghaziabad, March 24 (IANS): A 14-year-old girl was gang raped by three men here Sunday. One of the accused has been arrested.
The victim had stepped out of her rented house in Hindon Vihar when the accused, who lived nearby, pounced on her, dragged into their room and raped her.
As some others came to the girl's rescue, two of the rapists escaped while a third was caught and handed over to police.
"The medical examination has confirmed the rape," Superintendent of Police Shiv Shankar Yadav told IANS. He said the three have been charged with murder too because they tried to strangle her.
