Unclaimed shin guard found near Delhi stadium

New Delhi, March 24 (IANS): An unclaimed pair of shin guards was found near the Ferozeshah Kotla stadium here where a Test match was played between India and Australia, police said Sunday.

"It was a pair of shin guard which is normally used by sports persons or physio-therapists. Nothing to fear about," Additional Commissioner of Police Devesh Srivastava told IANS.

The shin guard was spotted by police around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

"We immediately called the bomb disposal squad to seize the object," said an officer.

Delhi Police had earlier claimed that the capital was a likely target of a terror attack during the Holi festival.
