Udupi, Mar 26: "In order to bring changes in the political system of the country, the Welfare Party of India came into existence. Currently political parties like Congress, BJP and others which are ruling are selling the country for huge foreign investment,"said Dr BT Lalitha Nayak, All-India vice president of the party.

"Congress has failed to work towards the interest of poor and downtrodden people. BJP which brought prevention of cow slaughter act has also failed in its duty and has not saved an inch of pasture in the state," she alleged.

"The land of agriculturist have been handed over to foreign companies by them. With this the condition, the Welfare party of India will act as a voice to the problems of poor and several others."

She addressed the gathering during the launching ceremony of the Udupi district unit on Monday March 25.

"Welfare party is not one among the parties currently hyped in India. The existing parties have left their party values and promises hanging loose, instead they are working for their personal benefits. In order to bring changes in these systems, the Welfare Party is working for its benefit," said state president Akbar Ali.

Addressing further, he said "the BJP in the state instead of working for people are busy planning on encroaching the land. Our party which does not have investors, is working for the poor people in general."

Anwar Ali Kapu, district president, Mohammed Ibrahim, chief secretary, Laiju Sebastin, president of Minority unit, Ravindra Brahmeshwar, district vice president, Kasargod, Mohammed, district vice president of Udupi, Dinakar Uchhila, district vice president, Asif JD, treasurer, Aziz Ahmed Udyavar among others were present.

Curious to note that there is Minority cell too. Which community is in minority in this party sir? Why not we have a party open to all instead of cells like Women's Cell, Children Cell, Beedi cell, Liquor Cell, homeless cell, jobless cell, uneducated cell etc. Anyhow, good luck to you all.
