Beltangady, Apr 5: “Students always think from their point of view about the job rather than thinking from that of the employers’. And this is when students fail to get a job and progress in it. One should also understand that mere higher education can’t fetch a job, even if it does, it doesn’t last long,” said Dr Yoganand Moolemath, lead scientist, Toxicology, Bangalore.

He was speaking on the occasion of the career guidance programme organized for post graduate students of SDM College at the seminar hall of SDM College, Ujire.

He explained that “the key to get a good job and perform well in it lies in loving and believing the subject one is studying which will take people higher”.  He also added that “a post graduate student doesn’t have necessarily chase a job, but can create one by becoming an entrepreneur. Rags to riches story, right from DhirubhaiAmbani to Narayan Murthy should be lively examples and inspiration for students”.

Professor Dinesh Chowta, vice principal, SDM College, professor Shankar Narayan, head, department of English, were present on the occasion.
