Harding arrested for using phone while driving

London, Apr 7 (IANS): Singer Sarah Harding was reportedly arrested for using her mobile phone while driving. She also did not stop the car when the police tried to bring her to a halt.

The incident took place Thursday when the 31-year-old was driving on the Charing Cross Road here.

"Sarah was driving a 4x4 (four-wheel-drive vehicle), when a policeman on a bicycle saw her and tried to make her stop. He was trying to flag her down but she carried on a bit down the road where she was pulled over a couple of minutes later," mirror.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

"She was talking to the police by the side of the road for a while before she was arrested. Apparently, Sarah was very upset when she was arrested and charged. The offences are pretty serious," added the source.

According to dailymail.co.uk, Harding was bailed to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court April 16.
