M'lore: Free classes, Govt school students' painting expo on Apr 13,14

Mangalore, Apr 13: Dayananda Bejai of Daya School of Arts, in support of Public Education Department, will conduct free drawing classes for the students of DK Higher Primary School, Gandhinagar, Mannagudde, Kodikal, Kapikad, and Mullakad.

There will be a nature painting exhibition featuring the works of 50 students of classes 5 to 8 from government schools on Saturday April 13 and Sunday April 14 at Mahatma Gandhi Park in Gandhinagar.

Gopikrishnan K, DC chief of Infosys, will be inaugurating the painting exhibition on Saturday. Sadhishiva Kamath, teacher, Art Of Living, Lokesh C, area education officer of Mangalore North, will be present, and N Shivaprakash, district deputy project co-ordinator, will preside over the occasion.

The effort of Bejjai is appreciable in providing the opportunity of painting for those students who don’t have drawing teachers in schools.

This is a special programme where cash obtained through selling artwork will be given to the particular individual itself.

Art of Living is organizing this programme.
