Mangalore: Theives kidnap and loot youth

Mangalore, Apr 14: In an incident which took place on Friday April 12 night near Pumpwell circle, a group of thieves arrived in a Maruti 800 car and looted valuables from a youth after kidnapping him.

The youth identified as NM Yogesh Kumar hails from Tamil Nadu. It is alleged that around 9.15 pm, four thieves came in a car and kidnapped him.

As per the information obtained, two among the thieves severely thrashed Yogesh and demanded Rs 30,000. When Yogesh replied that he did not have the money, they took two ATM cards belonging to him along with the pin number.

It is said that the two thieves got off near Talapady in BC road and the other two went to anATM machine where they found that Yogesh did not have money in the ATM.

Later they looted a 20 gram gold chain, Rs 5,000 cash, a mobile phone worth Rs 5,000 and they fled after leaving Yogesh at the KSRTC depot, BC road.

A case has been registered at the Kadri police station.
