Musharraf flees as court orders his arrest

Islamabad, Apr 18 (IANS): Former president Pervez Musharraf Thursday fled from the Islamabad High Court premises after the court dismissed his bail extension plea and ordered his arrest.

The Islamabad High Court dismissed Musharraf's interim bail extension plea and ordered his arrest in a case related to the confinement of judges in 2007, Geo News reported.

Accompanied by his guards, Musharraf appeared before court to seek an extension in his bail. However, the court dismissed his plea and ordered his arrest.

The former president immediately left the court premises, driving away in a convoy escorted by his bodyguards.

Massive security accompanied Musharraf as he appeared in court.

In the previous hearing, the high court had extended his interim bail till April 18.

Dawn said that the case is based on an FIR against the retired general registered in Aug 11, 2009 on the complaint of Chaudhry Mohammad Aslam Ghumman, an advocate.

He had asked the police to initiate legal proceedings against Musharraf for detaining over 60 judges, including Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, after proclamation of a state of emergency in the country Nov 3, 2007.

Musharaff was one of the reason for Kargil war, which resulted in the death/injuries to hundreds/thousands of soldiers, put their family and relatives in sorrow, thousands of people near the border also were affected and thousands of crores of loss to both the countries. All those families curses have fallen on him now. History of Pakistan itself tells that who ever waged war against India have either been put to jail or killed by their own people. Still they don't seem to learn from their own history.

In 2007 Musshy confined judges and in 2013 judges confine mushy. How quickly tables turn. He should be punished for his misadventure of Kargil in which 527 brave Indian soldiers laid down their lives. Every dog has a day.

Taking birth in this rotten country itself is a curse. Right from the people, Govt, military, everything stinks here. Even after 65 years of independence this country is living on alms from USA. Their brain is used only for terrorism, killings and destruction.
