Nigerian police to get nine choppers


Abuja, Apr 23 (IANS): Nigerian police will get nine helicopters later this month, an official said.

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan would April 29 hand over nine helicopters and some operational vehicles to the police for the new integrated air and land patrol operations, the government announced Monday.

Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Abubakar made the announcement to unveil the 2013 Police Week celebrations, reported Xinhua.
