Udupi: Nitte Engg College professor Dr Ashok Kumar no more

Udupi, Apr 29: Dr Ashok Kumar A (47), who was working as professor in the computer engineering department of Nitte Mahalinga Adyantaya Memorial Institute of Technology, breathed his last at KMC Hospital Manipal due to ill health on Saturday April 27.

Kumar, who was unmarried, is survived by parents, sisters, and a brother.

Kumar was the son of A S Kalluraya, a resident of Ambalpady near here. Kalluraya is a retired deputy divisional manager of Syndicate Bank.

Kumar began his career at the polytechnic college in Sunkadakatte, before joining the engineering college at Nitte. He was in this college since the last about two decades. He was a good cartoonist and author of articles on science subjects. His articles and cartoons were published in various dailies and weekly magazines regularly.
