Bangalore, Apr 29: Three new members to work for Vocations to the Priesthood and Consecrated life in the Catholic Church were inducted into the Serra Club Bangalore.

Archbishop Emeritus Most Rev Ignatius Pinto performed the Induction ceremony at St Patrick’s Church, Bangalore, on Saturday.

The Archbishop Emeritus reminded the new Serrans of what they are committing themselves to do and took a pledge from them to work for the cause of Serra International.

He then blessed them after which they were presented by name to the congregation by the President.

He reminded all that Jesus’ parting message was to love one another as He loved us. The scarcity of Priests and Religious is a well known fact globally and the Serrans show their love for the Church by working to foster and promote vocations.

He also said that all are called to work for vocations since Priests and Consecrated people come from families.
He thanked the Serra Club for what they are doing for the Church.

The President-Elect of Serra International Sean Yeo presented the Membership Certificates to the newly inducted members

The Serra Club is an international Lay organization, recognized by the Pope that fosters and promotes vocations to the Catholic Church. It has over 20,000 members in 1109 clubs in 46 countries around the world.
