Tue, May 07 2013Why is it an issue? May be it is time people start considering girls are equal(better in this case!) to boys and provide the same opportunities as boys. SSLC is just one step.. How many girls get the same education or opportunities after their SSLC or PUC?

Mon, May 06 2013It is not only teachers fault. I remember reading there was a best teacher award and other teachers objected stating that the concerned teachers was not at all good in teaching or attending school to give lessons but he was busy with our political leaders. So our corrupt political leaders given him the best teachers award. These type of cases also possible.

Mon, May 06 2013"ZERO" PERCENT PASS, THEN, THERE MUST SOMETHING WRONG IN THE SYSTEM OF PAPER CORRECTION. AGAIN, WE HAVE TO SEE HOW MANY STUDENTS ATTENDED FROM THOSE 35 HIGH SCHOOLS?
ZERO PERCENT PASS ALSO POSSIBLE FROM THE PERSON WHO IS CORRECTING THE PAPERS. OTHERWISE DONT YOU THINK AT LEAST ONE STUDENT WOULD HAVE BEEN PASSED WITH MINIMUM PASS MARK.
ONE MORE THING TO BE NOTED, THE RESERVATION POLICY IN RECRUITMENT. ADDITIONALY, GOVT POLICY DONT EVEN TOUCH OR SCOLD THE STUDENT, ELSE YOU WILL END UP IN BEHIND BARS. THERE ARE INSTANCES, WHERE STUDENT IS THREATENING THE TEACHER WITH THESE WORDS "DO YOU WANT TO BE ARRESTED" "HAVE YOU SEEN POLICE STATION, DONT DARE TO..."
NOW YOU ASSESS WHAT A TEACHER CAN DO OTHER THAN JUST COMING TO SCHOOL ADDRESS HER LECTURE, THEN TAKE HER MONTHLY SALARY! WHO WANTS TO END UP WITH TROUBLES?
I DO AGREE AT TIMES THERE ARE INCIDENTS HERE AND THERE. HOWEVER, TODAY, IT IS VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT PARENTS ARE ALSO SUPPORTING THE "WRONG FUTURE OF TOMORROW - THEIR CHILDREN".

Mon, May 06 2013When our students don’t score well or fail, readers blame the teachers and the school. When students prefer to spend time at home stay celebrating birthdays etc than to attend the classes at school or colleges, readers support them as something normal and it is not other’s business. Easy excess to facebook, mobile technology and surplus cash in pocket etc has supported the further deterioration of moral standards. Responsible parents who continuously monitor the progress of their children by maintaining healthy atmosphere at home ,prefer to spend more time with them.To create and develop interest in studies and to guide them on a proper path, with the parents others like good neighbors, relatives, teachers etc have an important role to play in the process of moulding them to be good responsible citizen.

Mon, May 06 2013The reason for slipping positions of Udupi and Dk districts is because in bound migration of labour population from north karnataka place like Bijapur , Bidar and even raichur , bellary . Normally people from this place find their solace in canara district due to better package . Their children study normally in kannada medium schools. But with respect they r not studious as local children. So their pass/fail percentage affects total statistics of twin district. Rating may even fall in coming years , besides agriculture districts like mandya and malenadu regions may rise up. We somewhat turning into 'cement' civilisation , but on a positive note , kannada medium schools will not close and will continue many more years to come.

Mon, May 06 2013sunil, udupi i dont agree with you. But the problem with the people of our districts is that we always expect the people from Mandya and other ghat sections to be fool, but now a days there also the people have become intelligent and we people from mangalore always making fun of them with the egoistic nature.

Mon, May 06 2013There are some schools with zero results. Please let me how many of our readers are supporting that these schools must be closed and the teaching staff must be punished by terminating their service as they are not doing their work properly. Please don’t bring politics here.

Mon, May 06 2013Why overall results diminishing ? there r many schools which doesn’t provide quality of education , there was time Christian institution were providing education now lot of private school come up to compete now both are in competent and students are suffering. We need to change our education system , CBSC and ICSC student will pass in competent exams like CET MAT etc …
