Ex-Pakistani PM Raja Pervez Ashraf loses

Islamabad, May 12 (IANS): Former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has been defeated in the National Assembly elections, a media report said Sunday.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Raja Pervez Ashraf suffered a defeat in NA-51, Geo News reported.

According to unofficial and initial results, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Raja Mohammad Javed Ikhlas won the seat.

Ikhlas got 82,339 while Raja Pervez Ashraf secured 23,233 votes.
