Mangalore: Dinesh Amin Mattu appointed media advisor to CM

Mangalore, May 14: Senior journalist from Mangalore, Dinesh Amin Mattu, has been appointed media advisor to chief minister Siddaramaiah.
Mattu is currently the senior associate editor of Kannada daily Prajavani, Bangalore.
Dinesh Amin Mattu, born in Mattu village near Mulky in Dakshina Kannada district, entered the journalism field in 1983 and had joined Prajavani in 1989.
Known for his incisive analysis on political developments at the national and state level, Dinesh Amin Mattu has won several awards for his writings.
In August 2012, he was honoured with the prestigious state-level D Devaraj Urs Award by the then chief minister Jagadish Shettar.
In his new responsibility, Mattu will have the task of guiding the chief minister in his interactions with the media and giving the right picture of the media to the CM and so on.
A secularistic, Dinesh is well-known for his writings in “Mungaru” and “Prajavani”.
