Bangalore, Jan 2: Seven people were killed and two injured in five different road accidents in the city and its suburbs, on Sunday January 1 night, police said.

Police said three persons were killed and two injured when their jeep hit a roadside tree near Harandhalli on the outskirts of the city. The victims were on their way to Tirupati from the city for celebrating New Year.

Four motorcyclists were killed in four accidents at Goravanpalya, Banashankari, Byatarayapura and Frazer Town in the city on Sunday January 1 night.
