Madhya Pradesh CM 'humble' like Vajpayee, says Advani

Gwalior, June 1 (PTI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is "humble" like Atal Behari Vajpayee and BJP wants both Chouhan and Narendra Modi "play a major role" in securing India an important place in the world, senior party leader L K Advani today.

"Vajpayee implemented several developmental schemes including road network, but he always remained very humble and far away from arrogance.

"Similarly, Chouhan has also formulated a large number of development and welfare schemes like Ladli Laxmi scheme and Mukya Mantri Teerth Darshan Yojna, and implemented them successfully. Despite that I found Chouhan very humble, like Vajpayee," Advani told BJP's booth-level coordinators here.

He further said the party wants both Chouhan and his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi "to play a major role in securing India an important place in the world."

While Modi transformed a healthy state into an excellent one, Chouhan successfully turned around a BIMARU state into a developed state, Advani said.

Both BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are now reckoned as models of development even outside India, Advani claimed.

He noted that among the tenures of all the Prime Ministers that the country had so far, Vajpayee's term was full of positives.

Referring to Swami Vivekananda's 150th birth anniversary celebrations, Advani said he had suggested to the President in Mumbai yesterday that a programme should be organised in Chicago where the iconic spiritual leader had visited 120 years ago for a conference on religions.

He urged the booth-level coordinators to strive for the party's victory for the third time in a row in the coming Assembly polls.

Advani is here to launch the Madhya Pradesh government's ambitious food security scheme whereby wheat and iodised salt will be sold at Rs one per kg and rice at Rs two per kg.

Madhya Pradesh CM Chauhan is 'humble' like Vajpayee, very true!
Gujarat was financially healthy state when Modi became C.M.

But Mr.S.Chauhan of MP, and Nitish Kumar C.M. of Bihar, when took over the states were in pathetic condition.

C.M. Chauhan and C.M. Nitish kumar are very humble. Both didn't go after name and fame!
Still they live in peoples heart!

Advaniji, needs to hang his work boots and stop dreaming of being the PM. His Ram Mandir nautanki will always come back to haunt him.
BJP is a party of power greedy ego maniacs... it has no national leaders, all of them are bandits and baniyas working and serving only self via political alliance and checkmate.
how many of these so called leaders have issued public statements on serving the nation without the PM seat?
    The answer is NONE.
therefore, no vote for BJP. definitely NOT MINE.

Wow!!!This comment of LK Advani in fact, direct jab @ Modi. When BJP core committee formed LKA advised Rajnath Singh to induct S.S.Chowhan but BJP president politely turned down the request of LKA saying that there was no vacancy @ present!!!!

Election for LS is ahead but PM in waiting Modi getting negative endorsement with in and from allies also. These development gives an indication that Modi's missile not striking distance to Delhi throne. My understanding and guess is that either LKA and gang forced to d-tour their choice or Modi likely to have the fate of BSY!!!Apart from that warring faction may see a compromise formula by opting for no man's candidate like A.Jaitely or SUSHMAKKA(Reddy factor minus for BJP senior leader Sushmakka?)

Importantly,if BJP's internal feds continues to hovering, then chance of it's striking distance to Delhi throne might be not materialized
