Bantwal, Jan 5: Sandhya Pais (23), daughter of Alice Pais and a second-year nursing student at Alva's College of Nursing at Moodbidiri was found dead in a well belonging to a farm-house at Malekodi near Navoor in the taluk on Wednesday January 4 morning.

It is said that Sandhya had gone missing for the last three days.  The family sources said that she had obtained less marks in the recent examinations, which had caused a lot of distress to her.  Perturbed by this she might have resorted to suicide, the sources said.

A complaint has been registered by Bantwal rural police in this regard.
