MUMBAI, Jun 4 (TOI): Vindu Dara Singh and Chennai Super Kings team principal Gurunath Meiyappan were on Tuesday granted bail by a Mumbai court in the IPL spot-fixing scandal.
The two have been told not to leave the country and surrender their passports to the police.
The court has also asked them to report to Mumbai Crime Branch every alternate day.
Both were granted bail on a surety of Rs. 25,000.
The defence counsel said the two are expected to come out of jail by Tuesday evening after bail formalities are completed.
Meiyappan was arrested on May 24 for allegedly taking part in illegal betting in the Indian Premier League (IPL) which is the subject of multiple police investigations.
Meiyappan's arrest came after Rajasthan Royals players S Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila were taken into custody on spot-fixing charges.
