Mangalore, Jan 5: 'Dini Dini', a Konkani music album by noted Konkani poet Melwyn Rodrigues is all set to be released during the Vth anniversary of Daijiworld on Saturday January 7 evening at Milagres Conference Hall here. Grace Pinto of Ryan International Schools, Mumbai, will release the music album.



This was announced in a press conference on Thursday January 5 morning at Press Club here by Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president Eric Ozario.  The music album is all set to create waves in Konkani music.  Melwyn Rodrigues has carved a niche for himself in Konkani literature.  He could be called  "King of Konkani Poetry" not only because of his unique style of writing but because of the freshness and creativity which he brings in every time.  He has almost single handedly guided a number of aspiring and young poets over the years.

Now his new venture into Konkani music world is sure to take the Konkani buffs by storm with noted Bollywood playback singers Vasundhara Das, Sunidhi Chouhan, Soumya Rao, Goan singer Lorna, sandalwood music sensation Guru Kiran rending their voice to the songs.  Along with them noted Konkani singers like Rony D'Cunha, Adolf Jaytilak, Warren and others too have joined their voices. 

Alwyn Fernandes, one of the most talented young film music directors and an accomplished guitarist, has composed and arranged music for this album.  Fernandes has earlier assisted Hindi music director Sandeep Chowtha in arranging hit scores for movies such as Satya, Vaastav, Mast, Jungle, Shool, Jab Dil Kisi Pe Aata Hai and many others. He has also worked together with Kannada music director Guru Kiran for over eight years and was the music director for Kannada movies Jackpot and Praana. 

Melwyn Rodrigues, Eric Ozario, Walter Nandalike, Victor Mathias and William Pais were present during the press meet.
