New Delhi, Jun 8 (IANS): It was a hot morning in the capital Saturday with the minimum temperature settling at 29.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above average for this time of year. The Met Office has forecast light showers in the day.
"The day will remain partly cloudy. Thunderstorm and light rains are likely during the day," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
"The maximum temperature Saturday is expected to hover around 40 degrees Celsius," the official said.
The maximum temperature Friday settled a notch below average at 39.3 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 25.7 degrees Celsius, two notches below average.
