BJP hits back at Nitish, says he is double faced and frustrated

Patna, Jun 17 (Agencies) : Within 24 hours of the Bharatiya Janata Party-Janata Dal United split, the two parties are taking potshots at each other. The BJP has hit back at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for accusing that the BJP does not respect its elders.

Bihar BJP leader Giriraj Singh said Nitish Kumar has a double face and was frustrated. "Nitish ji has a double face, he is speaking because of his frustration."

Singh said Nitish cheated the people of Bihar and stabbed the BJP on the back. "Nitish should tell why he praised Narendra Modi ji in 2003. He cheated the people of Bihar, he stabbed us on the back," Singh said.

BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu also hit out at Nitish saying, "Let him take care of his party. Let him take care of George Fernandes. He need not interfere in our internal matters."
This came after Nitish took on the BJP over the recent LK Advani issue. "I praised the Advani-Atal era, they forgot that, they forgot their elders. What can we I say about those who forget their elders," said Nitish.

Nitish said the BJP never made an effort to address the JD(U)'s concerns. "If Atal ji not well, at least Advani could have addressed the concerns raised in the alliance. If they are moving forward without addressing the concerns raised by the alliance, then what could we have done. The central BJP leaders kept calling, asking us not to take a decision. But they were never ready to give us an assurance on what they will do about our concerns," Nitish said.

Nitish also clarified on his 2003 speech on Narendra Modi released by the BJP. Nitish said praising Modi then was protocol. "When I used to visit other states as a railway minister, those speeches were never political. It's part of the protocol to praise the host state and not to speak against them," Nitish said.

Nitish Kumar on Sunday ended his 17-year-old alliance with the BJP and making it clear that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's elevation has filled the JD(U) with apprehension about the future of the alliance, also accusing the BJP of succumbing to the 'autocratic personality cult' with no respect for democratic process.

    Anand,
My answer lies in your question itself.
As to your prediction of next P.M. (Namo) I think you have some supernatural powers to hold your word. If so, I am ready to accept your predictions. In the meantime, you cannot dictate terms on others whom we should support and why.

    Anand,

I need not answer your question directly. My comments should help you reach to right conclusion, if you are smart enough.

As to your forecast, only time will tell. From where you get the concrete information that Modi will become PM. Do you have any supernatural powers to hold your word. I will beleive in your word if you have such a power to predict the futre. Do not simply boast.

Whether Muslim league is secular or communal? If it is secular, what is the contribution of non-Muslims to the party? How many non-Muslims are there in the party?
If it is not secular, then what about congress which is associated with it?

Congress is the most communal party of this country, it follows a policy of divide and rule the country based on religion, it has created a minority vote bank through appeasement policies targeted at minorities, they ensured minorities remained poor, uneducated and disconnected, because of this policies today we still fight on religion and caste, on the other hand BJP believes in development for all irrespective of religion and caste.
Average Muslim is more wealthy in Gujarat than any other state, dont forget the recent riots in ASSAM, state ruled by Congress.

It is time to throw out this corrupt Congress out of force.

I think after seeing Mounmohan Singh's rule for past 8-9 years you come to a conclusion that persons above 60 are not fit for PM post. But this is our Modi and whether he is 60 or 80 he will rule India and take it to new heights.
By the way, what was the age of Narasimha Rao and Nehru when he was a PM ??

For all those who believe that it is due to Narendra Modi only Gujarat is Developed must read below Statistics before coming to any conclusion on development:
In 1991, a full 10 years before Modi arrived as many as 17,940 out of 18,028 villages were already electrified.
87.5% of Gujarat’s road was already asphalted before Modi.
By 2000-01, Gujarat’s share in India’s manufacturing had already risen to 28.7%.
Since 1980, Gujarat has been India’s poster state. Modi has nothing to do with the world’s largest ship-breaking yard coming up in Bhavnagar, nor with the setting up of the Ambani refinery in Jamnagar.
Well before Modi, Gujarat accounted for 45% of India’s petroleum products.
Since the 1990s, Gujarat produces as much as 26% of the country’s pharmaceuticals.
Because of the CM Chimanbhai Patel’s intervention in 1993, port traffic in the state jumped from a mere 3.18 million tonnes in1981 to 86.1 million tonnes in 2001.
During the 1990s, Gujarat successfully augmented 35% of its power generation capacity.
If Gujarat’s agriculture is prospering today, it is because the state has begun to receive Sardar Sarovar waters from 2002. Modi had little to do with the inauguration of this project.
If there was ever a person who reaped what somebody else had sown, then that is Modi.
The hunger levels in Gujarat are higher than in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, and surprisingly even higher than in Uttar Pradesh, according to the study, which is based on statistics compiled from a variety of sources. Kerala and Tamil Nadu are far ahead of Gujarat in Human Development Index. Kerala tops the list followed by Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Haryana and Gujarat.
Assam is at the top of the States reporting moderate hunger, followed by Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. The high hunger States are Orissa, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Bihar.
Gujarat is also almost at the bottom in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

    Hi Flavian,
It is JD-U that broke away from NDA. Nitish gave the reason as MODI. If Modi was acceptable in 2003 (one year after the riots) what changed between 2003 and now? Modi became more communal than he was in 2002?
What changed is the status of Nitish. He became chief minister of Bihar. Now he wants Muslim vote share. He thinks he will get it by blaming Modi. he will be sadly mistaken.
Another mistake he did. We recommended the Governor to 'dismiss' the BJP ministers.
    Lalu is the winner.

All these days the BJP had no complaints on Bihar government or Nitish Kumar. The BJP used the JDU for forming NDA and in return JDU took BJP support to form the Bihar Government...The BJP is a mixture of strong masalas like VHP,RSS,and other fundamentalist Hindu wings. The BJP cannot united on main religious issue related to Ram Mandir and PM candidate and how can we expect the alliance to go with JDU which is a secular party.

Indian's future is in the hands of young & smart leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Sachin Pilot, Jyotiraditya scindia, Krishna Byregowda, Dinesh Gundurao and so on

In other countries PM or presidents become at the age of 35 to 40 years

So Modi's age is to get retire & rest at home

They always blame Congis for 65 years of bad rule

The question is why would you give them chance to rule for long 65 years if you are so useless

This the style of the BJP as dictated by their controllers the RSS. Go to twitter, facebook, internet etc, and you will see hordes of RSS hooligans abusing and using the most filthy language against anyone who disagrees with them. It is like they are abusing the whole of India and its people as it was pointed out by Mr. Shekar Gupta in a discussion recently. Little do these fools realize that by doing so they are alienating and antagonizing a very large section of the electorate who are sober and well meaning and wish well for India. According to these brainwashed fools anyone who does not agree with them should be abused. This is nothing but a repeat of Hitler's propaganda machine. However, we are in 2013 now and not in the early 20th century for anyone to get fooled or carried away. Let them continue digging their own graves and get buried in them which will be good for India.
