Islamabad, Jan 13: BCCI president and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Friday called on President Pervez Musharraf at the Army House in Rawalpindi and discussed a host of issues, mainly those concerning cricket.
Officials on both the sides maintained that it was a courtesy call and much of their talks centred on issues relating to cricket.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that the focus of their discussions was cricket.
She replied in negative when asked whether any formal invitation had been extended to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to watch one of the cricket matches.
