Kingston, Jun 28: It's less than a week since the Champions Trophy ended but we already have a very important series ahead of us. India, Sri Lanka and hosts West Indies will face each other in a tri series which kicks off with WI taking on SL today. It was raining at Jamaica yesterday and today's forecast says ' 50% chances of scattered thunderstorms'. Let's hope we get a full game!
West Indies have won the toss and elected to field.
Angelo Mathews: 'I would have bowled first as well. We have to adapt to the conditions as soon as possible, from cold weather to hot weather. That's the biggest challenge. We have to come back very strong after the NZ defeat. It's a bit of a transition period for us and we're trying to get in some new blood into the system. '
Bravo: 'There is some moisture and it will suit our fast bowlers. That's why we are bowling first. We accepted defeat in the Champions Trophy but we got a lot of positives from there. It's good to be back home now and play in front of our crowd. Our ranking in ODIs is not great at the moment but it's a great opportunity for me and that's my motivation.'
Pitch report: There are some cracks but it's a firm surface. It may crumble a bit later on and the bounce may vary. It's a smooth surface and the ball will come on to the bat early on.
