Mumbai, Jan 17:  A 50-year-old-woman was allegedly raped by a person in a taxi near Chor Bazaar in South Mumbai early today.

Police here said, Shyam Papa Kharwa (40) asked the victim, a vendor, to sit in the taxi at Chor Bazaar at around 0145 hrs.

While the taxi was on way to Bandra, Kharwa raped the woman.

Meanwhile, police has arrested the accused and a case has been registered against him.
