Sultry morning in Delhi, rain likely


New Delhi, Jul 5 (IANS): It was a sultry morning in the capital Friday with the minimum temperature settling at 28.3 degrees Celsius - a notch above the season's average. The Met Office has forecast an overcast sky with chances of rain in some areas.

"An overcast sky with chances of light rain and thundershowers lies ahead for Delhi," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature during the day is expected to be around 37 degrees Celsius, the IMD official added.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 71 percent.

Thursday's maximum and minimum temperatures settled a notch above the season's average at 37.5 and 28.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
