Mumbai, Jan 19: A 43-year-old businessman committed suicide on Wednesday by jumping from the 22nd floor of Usha Kiran building at Carmichael Road in south Mumbai. The deceased, Arul Mathais, was a bachelor and lived with his aged mother. He was the owner of a chemical company in Churchgate.
Inspector Shyam Parulekar from Gamdevi police station said, “The incident took place at 4.30pm.” Arul was suffering from depression and was being treated for the last five years, Parulekar added.
