Mangalore, Jan 21: For excellent contributions in various fields, the Tuluratna award constituted by the Karnataka Tulunada Sangh, Miraj will be conferred on S Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, M K Seetaram and H B L Rao.
The awards will be given at the Tulu Utsav organised jointly by the sangh and the state Tulu Sahitya Academy at the Tulunada Bhavan on Sunday.
Kalkura Foundation president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, who organized the state-level Sri Krishna fancy dress competition for children and carried out several activities to promote culture has been selected for the award. He is also the president of the DK district Kannada Sahitya Academy.
Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy president M K Seetaram Kulal is a theatre artiste and has over 65 literary works to his credit. For his contributions to the field of language, folk arts and theatre, the award is being conferred on him.
H B L Rao has been rendering rich service in the field of Yakshagana and has also made immense contributions to the field of literature will also be honoured with the award.
