Emirates allows extra baggage to India, Pakistan


Dubai, Jul 13 (IANS/WAM): Emirates has announced an extra baggage allowance of 10 kg to India and Bangladesh and an additional 20 kg to Pakistan as part of a special promotional campaign.

The "Take More This Summer" campaign will go on till July 31.

The airline is already allowing 30 kg in economy class, while silver, gold and platinum Emirates skywards members have the opportunity to carry even more.

Silver members can enjoy an extra 12 kg, gold members an extra 16 kg and platinum members an additional 20 kg.

"Despite our baggage allowances being amongst the most generous in the airline industry, people still want more, particularly on certain routes and at certain times of the year," said Majid Al Mualla, Emirates' senior vice president for commercial operations.
