Islamabad, Jan 24: Ruling out any extradition treaty with India, Pakistan said on Monday that no negotiations were underway with New Delhi to work out such an agreement.

Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam was reacting to reports that India broached the subject of finalising a treaty during last weeks Foreign Secretary-level talks in New Delhi.

On the progress of talks to resolve Kashmir issue, she said flexibility is pre-requisite for moving forward and sustaining the Indo-Pak peace process.

Responding to various questions regarding Indo-Pak peace process, she said that a number of proposals have been discussed between the two Foreign Secretaries in New Delhi recently, particularly regarding peace and security and Jammu and Kashmir issue.

She hoped that third round of talks will be very important to move forward towards addressing various issues between the two countries as environment has improved a lot during the first two rounds.

To a question, Aslam said the Indian negotiators during the recent talks have assured Pakistani side that India is not shying away from resolving the Kashmir issue, which gives a hope to move forward.
