Tarun Vijay condemns attack on Buddhists in Zanskar


New Delhi, Jul 22 (IANS): BJP's member of parliament Tarun Vijay Sunday condemned the assault on protesting Buddhists in Ladakh.

Vijay demanded that Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde visit Zanskar and assuage the deeply hurt feelings of the Buddhists there. He claimed that the Buddhists were peacefully protesting the abduction of a local Buddhist girl to Srinagar.

Vijay is also a member of the parliamentary consultative committee on the Ministry of External Affairs.
