Sunny Tuesday in Delhi


New Delhi, Jul 23 (IANS): It was a sunny morning in the capital Tuesday with the minimum temperature settling at 26 degree Celsius, a notch below the season's average. The Met office has forecast light rains in some areas of the city.

"The skies will remain generally cloudy with rain and thundershowers in some areas," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33 degree Celsius. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 85 percent.

Since the arrival of the monsoon June 16, the city has recorded a total of 385.8 mm of rainfall with the highest recorded Saturday at 123 mm.

Monday's maximum temperature was a notch below average at 32.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 26.7 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.
