Cairo, July 28 (IANS): Egypt's ousted president Mohammed Morsi maybe transferred to Torah prison, where former president Hosni Mubarak has been held, said Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim Saturday.

On Friday, a top Egyptian court ordered 15-day detention of Morsi for investigations regarding charges of spying and jailbreak during the 2011 unrest that toppled Mubarak.

The investigating chief is the one who decides the place for detaining Morsi, Xinhua reported the interior minister as adding.

But local media reported Morsi might be detained in A' aqrab "Scorpio prison" to avoid being held in the same prison with Mubarak.

About protests and clashes, the interior minister said the massive sit-ins of Morsi's supporters in Rabaa al-Adaweya Square in Cairo city and Nahda Square near Cairo University in Giza "will be cleared in coordination with the armed forces in suitable time", adding that the clashes negatively impact all fields in Egypt.

He added 73 suspects were arrested in the clashes near the Rabaa al-Adaweya Square when Morsi' supporters attempted to block the 6 October bridge.

Meanwhile, at least 47 people were killed and over 700 injured in overnight clashes between Morsi's supporters and security forces, official MENA news agency reported Saturday quoting a health ministry report.

The report said 38 people were killed in clashes near Rabaa al-Adaweya mosque in Nasr City in the capital Cairo, eight were killed in Alexandria and one person was killed in Fayoum city.
