'Lines of Light' captures muted tones


New Delhi, August 1 (IANS): Hues like muted shades of green, blue and golden rust burst on the canvas of artist Sangeeta Gupta depicting fabrics of life in her upcoming art exhibition called "Lines of Light".

In tune with the theme, the depiction of light in the paintings on display is through spirals, irregular lines and patterns concocting a tale of light spreading calm, balance and serenity within.

Layering, grading and texturing being, keystones of Gupta's works, find prominence in these paintings as well.

The exhibition will be open for public from Aug 2 to Aug 7 at Azad Bhavan, IP estate, ITO. It can be viewed between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
