Morgan Solar to host Indian delegation to increase market presence

New Delhi/Toronto, Aug 9 (IANS): To increase its presence in the Indian market for clean energy generation, solar power technologies company Morgan Solar Friday said it will host a delegation of key Indian government and commercial representatives at its Toronto facility.

"India is a focus market for Morgan Solar given the country's high demand for efficient and low cost renewable energy solutions," said Nicolas Morgan, vice president, business development, Morgan Solar.

According to the Canadian company -- known for its manufacturing ability of concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) and intelligent sun-tracking technologies, during the visit it will showcase its latest cutting-edge patented products to the Indian delegation led by Planning Commission Member Dr. Saumitra Chaudhuri and various other government representatives from various ministries and energy-focused public sector enterprises (PSUs).

The Canadian firm is gearing up for a strong presence in India, where demand for energy is expected to double by 2025. The company has recently entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Forbes & Company, a subsidiary of Shapoorji Pallonji Group, to offer its CPV modules in India.
