Beijing, Aug 10 (IANS): China's auto sales rose 9.9 percent year-on-year to 1.52 million units in July, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said.
Although the volume marked a 13.6 percent drop on a monthly basis, CAAM said the robust year-on-year growth suggests "relatively stable" momentum in the market, reported Xinhua.
In the first seven months, sales totalled 12.3 million units, an increase of 12 percent from the same period last year.
Auto output in the January-July period rose 12.46 percent from a year ago to 12.36 million units, according to CAAM.
