Mysore, Feb 2: A meeting held at the JD(S) office here yesterday witnessed an interesting debate when a JD(S) leader termed his party a sugarless tea without the leadership of H.D. Deve Gowda.
The meeting, presided over by former Deputy Mayor and City JD(S) President T. Devaraj, took four resolutions, the most important being that of brining pressure to force the JD(S) supremo to continue as the JD(S) National President.
Devaraj said the former Prime Minister Deve Gowda's political experience is very much needed to the party and for its interest, he should withdraw his resignation and guide the party.
Later, another JD(S) leader spoke on the need of Deve Gowda's continuance as the JD(S) National President and said, 'Deve Gowda should lead the party and without him JD(S) will be like a sugarless tea', which was wholeheartedly supported by everybody present at the meeting.
