No limits to Modi's hunger for power: Digvijaya Singh

New Delhi, Aug 16 (IANS): Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh Friday hit out at Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi over his criticism of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Independence Day speech, saying his "abrasive hunger for power has no limits".

"On Modi's Independence speech, Advaniji and I are on the same page. Modi's abrasive hunger for power has no limits," Digvijaya Singh tweeted, alluding to the remarks that senior BJP leader L.K. Advani made of Modi's criticism.

Modi had found fault with the prime minister's Independence Day speech Thursday and sought a debate on development and good governance between the union and Gujarat government.

His party colleague and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran L.K. Advani had expressed his disagreement with Modi: "Today is Independence Day. Without criticising one another, people should be aware on this day that India has unlimited possibilities," Advani said, after unfurling the national flag at his residence.
