Criticism of Modi will not be tolerated: RSS leader

Lucknow, Aug 17 (IANS): The Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) has asked the BJP to act tough on leaders who criticise Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

In his parleys with leaders of the Uttar Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), RSS points-person for BJP, Suresh Soni said Friday that the environment in the country was by far the best for the BJP to make a comeback.

"One has to realise that there is a strong anti-Congress wave in the country. The BJP should work hard to ensure that this anger against the Congress turns into goodwill for the BJP," Soni told party workers that included state president Laxmikant Bajpayi.

On a two-day visit to Lucknow to assess the preparedness of the saffron party for the Lok Sabha polls, Soni told RSS office bearers that the people of the country have taken Modi to be their prime minister and they were now duty bound to support him and bring good governance back.

Soni was instrumental in getting Modi appointed campaign chief of the BJP at the Goa national executive.

He told party workers that they should keep away from factionalism and should instead focus on the return of the party to power.

"Any factionalism or public criticism of each other will only harm party interests," he said.

Leaders attending the meeting told IANS that Soni was categorical in his support for Modi and said the BJP should not go soft on leaders and workers who openly criticise the Gujarat chief minister.

In case, someone does not fall in line, he should be suspended from the party for six years, Soni told party leaders.

CAG reports speaks about Modiji's Current affairs in Gujarath State!!! Develpoment without upliftment of the poor and marginalised!!!

Just read today's head lines couple of villages are asking automobile giant "Maruti" to go back and not to acquire their cultivating land!!!

One can read between the lines if you hear his Independence Day Speech carefully and the behavior and the manner(caliber) in which Mr. Modi is comparing himself as a National Leader.

What is Mr. Modi's background and qualification compared to Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Recently the only southern BJP ruled state had to bite the dust in the election. Why Mr. Modi the great's popular rallies couldn't garner enough votes for the party!!!. He can go to U.K or Australia or elsewhere on invitation before the next General Elections but the truth is he cannot wash his sins by going there.

Modi has to pay for that in Gujarath and in India.

U.S.A reminded him today once again "No Visa for Mr. Modi".

Quality German newspapers give comprehensive coverage of Indian politics, politicians, parties, current affairs, social developments, natural disasters and I am of the opinion the coverage has been fair and objective.
The core editorial values, universally accepted by all trustworthy newspapers and newspaper-owning companies, are truth-telling, freedom and independence , fairness and justice, good responsible citizenship, humaneness, and commitment to the social good. And a quality newspaper must endeavour to provide a fair and balanced coverage of competing interests and to offer the readers diverse, reasonable viewpoints, subject to its editorial judgement.
Therefore again, the coverage of India in German newspapers is unbiased.

I was very surprised that Narendra Modi has been chosen to lead the main opposition party´s campaign for elections due next year. Mr. Modi is seen a a rising star in the Hindu nationalist BJP and tipped as a possible candidate for prime minister.
He is credited with making Gujarat one of India´s most prosperous states. But Mr Modi is also accused of doing little to stop anti-Muslim riots in 2002 which left more than 1,000 dead. His appointment as the head of the Bharatya Janata Party´s election campaign came at a meeting of the national utive to plan for elections due by May 2014.
The 2002 anti-Muslim violence in Gujarat – one of the worst episodes of Hindu-Muslim violence in modern India – all eyes are on the Mr Modi who led the state then and still leads it today. The 2002 violence began on February 27 2002, with the burning in Godhra of a train car full of activists from a Hindu nationalist group. Immediately after that incident , Mr Modi supported Hindu nationalists´call for a general strike and allowed them to take the dead bodies from Godhra to Gujarat´s biggest city, Ahmedabad where they were displayed publicly, two decisions that have been widely criticised as inflaming anti sentiment.
Mr Modi has massive support both within the party as well as among India´s middle classes and business community who see him as a charismatic leader who has turned Gujarat into an economic powerhouse.
As things stand today, the situation is not so much about a Modi versus Rahul in the run up to the next Parliamentary elections, but how Mr Modi can step into the shoes of a man like Atal Behari Vajpayee and how he can reach out to the people.
Being the face of a political party is one thing which is something different from being the acceptable face of other partners. This is the pre-requisite of coalition politics, where striking the right alliance with other parties become the mantra for electoral success.
Quality newspapers in Germany like Die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Die Süddeutsche Zeitung have reported regularly on Mr Modi during the last days.

    Best regards

If BJP comes to power in the 2014 elections, it will be the end of democracy in India. BJP is just a front for the fascist RSS, which has never been held accountable for its actions. RSS never believed in democracy, and this above article confirms it, and likewise Narendra Modi doesn't like dissent shown to his leadership. Modi and RSS are carrying Euthopean dream!!. For sure, Modi will not become Prime Minister as he do not have those qualities of a leader. Modi is arrogant, lies and more lies. What he did in Gujarat? 1/3 of the population of Gujarat are still in below poverty line. What he talks about development at the cost of tax payers money? He compare Gujarat to India? Here it show's his immaturity as an administrator. He cannot rule India for a week!! Just wait and see if Modi become a PM. Though RSS and BJP put up every measure to ensure Modi's path to glory and bliss, it is all in vain. It is penchant in Indian population that people will gather in good number when you shout in public place criticizing minorities and political parties. That is the reason people still pick those evening news papers even though they have full information through regular news papers and TV news channels.

This is a open threat to the general public who cannot accept Modi as PM candidate. In democracy every individual has the right to criticize the political leader and talk about their past and present deeds. Here the RSS is taking another turn by openly challenging the people not to talk negative about Modi.
The wave that RSS is talking about is like a new wine in the old bottle, and people know very well to open the right bottle at right time.
The Modi vessel is going to sink in this ocean of BJP,RSS and other alliance of sangh Pariwar.

End of the day, the only reason for BJP's downfall will be RSS, VHS and MODI. Mark my words.
Otherwise BJP had a slightest chance of coming to power keeping in view the mess created by our Learned, Scholar, Economist MMS.

The word hypocrisy should be removed from Dictionary . Now it has no meaning at all. Soni said BJP should not go soft on leaders and workers who openly criticise the Gujarat chief minister.
What about Modi himself critising congress and their leaders and even to Prime Minister that is too on Independence day.Does he know what he is talking about? Alas...
